Donations & Membership

Memberships and donations are critical to the long-term viability of Lassen Land & Trails Trust. We depend on the annual support from our members to sustain the conservation, trails, and educational programs that we provide to the community. Memberships are available at a variety of levels, so please consider joining the Trust today!

We also welcome donations throughout the year, which may come as gifts to be used by the organization in our areas of greatest need, or committed to a specific project. These donations may also be dedicated in honor or memory of a loved one. Of course, all donations to the Trust are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law (please discuss with your tax professional for more information).

Membership to the Trust is open year-round; however, in order to remain current, we ask members to renew by March for the upcoming year.

Membership Levels:
Friend: $50
Family: $75
Supporter: $150
Partner: $250
Land Steward: $500
Conservation: $1,000

You may join the Trust by donating online and writing “Membership” under Designation, or email us to request a membership form or additional information.

As a member of Lassen Land & Trails Trust, you are a voting member for the election of the Board of Directors, which takes place each year at our Annual Meeting. Learn more about our board and staff by clicking here.

Additionally, members may attend meetings of the full Board of Directors as observers, and may inspect the records of the organization (Financial documents are available here). We also encourage members to volunteer as committee members or to volunteer at events and on special projects. If you are interested in getting more involved, please contact Amy.

Special Requests: The Nature Center at Lassen Creek

Imagine a classroom without walls: children tracing deer tracks through sagebrush, volunteers restoring a riparian corridor, and neighbors gathering for an evening talk as the Diamond Mountains glow at sunset. That’s the vision for the nature center at the Lassen Creek Conservation Area — a living laboratory on 385 acres of protected migration corridors, riparian habitat, and shrub-steppe ecosystems. The former residence at the heart of the property can become a year-round hub for school programs, stewardship workshops, and community events with modest investment.

We have $20,000 pledged as a match and are working to raise the matching funds to reach our $40,000 target to complete house revitalization and repairs. Phase I repairs are already underway and a generator currently powers the building for events and essential work, allowing us to begin programming this year (starting with our annual meeting in November). With your support the space will move from “usable” to “welcoming,” expanding opportunities for Richmond School students, Lassen County residents, partner agencies, and volunteer-led restoration projects that protect the landscapes we love.

If you would like to make a special gift to help support our mission, please donate now by using the button link, or send a check to LLTT (PO Box 1461, Susanville, CA 96130). Please be sure and put “Nature Center” in the memo line!
