—Lassen Creek Conservation—

Lassen Creek Conservation Area is located along Richmond Road, south of Susanville. It is a 385-acre area conserved to provide connectivity for mule deer between their summer range in the Diamond Mountains and their winter range in Honey Lake Valley. The Trust owns and manages the area primarily for habitat and also for wildlife education and recreation. The public entrance to Lassen Creek Conservation Area is on Richmond Road just south and opposite of Richmond School. For directions and a trail map, click here. Trails are open for hiking, biking and horse back riding from April through October. The area is closed to all users from November through December to provide our regional Lassen mule deer herd with habitat during the winter foraging season.
